Free Telehealth Line Delivers Support, Guidance and Referrals

Project Connect is a recently launched COVID-19 helpline for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers. The support line was developed through a special partnership between the Arc of California and the Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare. Staffed by Stony Brook graduate students who are supervised by licensed social workers, the helpline is available around the clock and across the nation.  Project Connect was developed to help people with disabilities deal with the stress, fear, and depression generated by the on-going pandemic. Helpline workers offer telehealth counseling services as well as referrals to callers.

Project Connect’s toll-free number is 888-847-3209.
