- A new research article found that adults with autism have more difficulties coordinating brain responses during a conversation than neurotypical adults. The level of coordination of brain responses was also linked to problems with social communication.
- UC Davis’ MIND Institute is currently recruiting children with autism ages 8-14 to take part in a new online anxiety study.
- The Colorado chapter for The Autism Community in Action (TACA) is holding two new webinars. The first presents information on Autism Seizures and Epilepsy. The second examines Neuroinflammation and Brain Disorders.
- California’s Senate Bill 639 aims to end the subminimum wage for people with disabilities within the state. However, not all disability advocates want to end the subminimum wage and are concerned that there isn’t enough job support for people with developmental disabilities without it. Currently, only 14% of individuals with developmental disabilities are employed.
