- The FDA just approved an ADHD medication for children ages 6 to 17 that is neither a stimulant nor a controlled substance. In a late-stage study funded by the manufacturer, the drug, Qelbree, reduced inattention and hyperactivity by 50% in research participants. However, Qelbree does carry a warning for potential suicidal thoughts and behavior, which occurred in less and 1% of the study’s volunteers.
- In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, ARI is sharing a list of resources on a specialized autism topic each month. This week they focus on nutrition and gastrointestinal disorders.
