Soaring ASD Rates Equate to Sizable Business Opportunities

The Dublin based company, Research and Markets has recently released a report titled, “The U.S. Autism Treatment Market” which is available for purchase on their website. As the self-proclaimed “World’s Largest Market Research Store,” the Irish company aims to offer businesses market insights and analysis needed to make intelligent business decisions. In a press release announcing Research and Market’s new autism treatment report, the organization refers to the autism market as a, “fragmented $2.1 billion market comprised of for profit and nonprofit providers that service patients with autism via brick & mortar centers and in-home therapy provided by therapists.” In order to demonstrate autism’s expanding market,  their press release outlines the alarming rise in  autism rates. In the year 2000,  1 in 150 American children had autism. Today the rate is 1 in 54, which equates to 3.5 million American children and adults living with autism. Sadly, the lack of therapies and medication to treat individuals with autism has created a ripe market with abundant business opportunities. The information contained in the Research and Markets report doesn’t come cheaply, it costs well over $1000 to purchase.
