Preventing Suicide and Mental Health Crisis in Children and Teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder
A presentation hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention on December 4 at 12:00 – 1:00 PM EST features autism researchers Drs. Paul Lipkin and Suzanne Rybczynski of the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. They will discuss their work on screening for and preventing suicide in those with autism. Studies have shown that suicidality affects people with autism at a higher rate than the general population.
