182 Cities Evaluated and Ranked
Once-a-year, the personal finance website WalletHub rates U.S. cities for their disability friendliness. This effort assists individuals with disabilities to determine the best places to live in accordance to their needs. To assemble their list, WalletHub analyzed 34 different measures (e.g. access to support services, transportation, cost of living, etc…) over three major categories–economy, quality of life and healthcare. After their final analysis was conducted, the top five disability friendly cities were Scottsdale, Ariz., St. Louis, Mo., South Burlington, Vt., Huntington Beach, Calif., and Bizmark, N.D. The cities determined to be the least friendly for individuals with disabilities were Providence, R.I., Gulfport, Miss., and Bridgeport, Conn.
