Sensory Processing Disorder Parent Support Offers Helpful List

While distance learning policies remain in place for many school districts across the country, it has become essential for parents to satisfy their children’s needs for sensory integration activities. A parent support group for children with sensory processing difficulties has published a helpful list of 100 activities that can be incorporated into a home remote learning environment. The group recommends that children with sensory issues take a two to three-minute movement break every ten to fifteen minutes. Using activities from their list will assist in filling these sensory breaks with fun and much-needed recreation to keep students on task during their school day.
